Maurizio Cattelan "All" @ Guggenheim, NY

Italian-born artist Maurizio Cattelan is considered to be one of the most provocative contemporary artists of our time. His controversial work draws on today’s popular culture, history and organized religion in a profound way, injected by doses of humor, in an attempt to lighten the vehement themes at hand. his cultural critique is expressed through disturbingly hyperrealistic sculptures which reveal contradictions inherently apparent at the core of today’s society. Insolent, brutal, fearless are words often heard in describing Cattelan’s work much of which is fueled by his childhood marked by economic hardships at home, punishment at school, employment in a slaughterhouse and other degrading jobs.

Arm Shwag/Candy

ARM SHWAG or what some call arm candy is a look that my friend Jessica from http://jesicola.blogspot.com/ and myself absolutely love....it's a compilation of pulling together everything from expensive bracelets and watches and not so expensive ones, scarves and adding person friendship bracelets, stings, etc....

the WHITE SHIRT

The WHITE SHIRT is my ultimate must have item...it goes with everything and always looks clean and elegant...there are different variations, such as a chiffon silk one, one with ruffles, wrinkled linen, long sleeves,no sleeves, etc...but m favorite is usually the classic crisp white cotton shirt...I will definitely be taking a few of these with my on my next trips!
